Custom Gift Bag & Card

OK...I am not a good card maker! I don't know why it frustrates me to no end! So I decided that I would from now on make ALL CARDS we have to give to someone for any occasion. It was my Step Dad's Bday yesterday...the first test! I got over zealous and made an embellished gift bag too!

Killin Time Thursday

The whole reason behind Killin' Time Thursday is I usually have a really slow afternoon at my real world Job, so I have plenty of time to cruise the Internet! Well today not so much! So I am going to have to rely on good old weheartit.com

Red Velvet .... Damn You

So....I have an eating issue. I L.O.V.E food, all food! I am fearless I will try pretty much anything, I have in the night markets in Taipei, but that is another story. I have been trying to loose some major poundage and had been very successful for awhile. AND THEN....well...I just sort of fell off the food wagon. My food of choice Mexican! YUM-O!!! So tonight my honey looks at me and says "I think I need something sweet" I say "OK". So we pause the DVR and hop in the car and head to the grocery store. At 10PM I am standing in line with the other late night snackers with Oatmeal Raisin Cookies, Chocolate Donettes, Paper Towels, Organic Non-Fat Milk and YES....That evil temptress RED VELVET Cake. I think I ate my slice in 28 seconds and it was pure bliss!

In my everyday life I am a product manager for a high tech company. Which, if I were to be totally honest, means I am a super geek when it comes to techie things! I have tried to escape it but alas I have learned to embrace it. Not only am I a geek but I come from a super Engineer Dad and a totally Creative Crafty Mom. Sometimes a tough combo to deal with. So like any geek I must bring technology into my crafting. For some reason I am a complete idiot when it comes to my Cricut. Last night it took me over an hour to replace my blade and the housing. I know a 2 year old could probably grasp this concept in a second. Which brings me to ......Can I really handle the GYPSY for the Cricut. Will it sit in a box and stare me down until I work up enough nerve? I want you my precious, yet you scare the crap out of me!

Party Favors

My Honey turned the Big 4-0 on March 1st. We had a little get together at our local Thai place. So with things being the way they are...we had a small gathering, I love Party Favors...there is something about going to a party and getting a little goody bag that makes me feel like a little kid all over again.... So i busted out the handy dandy Cricut and made these little bags, I found cute Skull chipboard at Micheals and off I went.

Time to start a new Mini...When I was pulling together all the stuff I needed, I realized how much I love this particular color combo.....

The paper and most of the embellishments are from Anna Griffin's Darcy line, I fell in love with it and let's just say I went a little nuts and purchased EVERYTHING! LOL
